My Professional Experience
I graduated from the University of South Dakota with a BA in
Elementary Education in 1987.
I began teaching 3rd grade at Holy Family School, Mitchell in
Sept, 1987.
The next year, I taught three years olds at First Lutheran Child Learning
Center.
The following year, I returned to Holy
Family to teach 6th grade. During this year, our school
merged with Holy Spirit School to become Mitchell Catholic Schools.
After teaching 3rd
grade for nine years, I then
moved to 5th grade where I am presently teaching. In 2001, our
schools became
John Paul II Elementary and we moved into our building located at 1510 W.
Elm.
Throughout the years I have continued to further my education by
participating in many graduate
courses and workshops. Such courses include Technology for
Teaching and Learning (TTL),
Six-in-1 Traits, the Institution of Religious Studies
(IRS), TRIBES,
Project Learning
Tree, Project Wild,
LOFTI: virtual tours, and many, many more.
I recently began working on a Masters in American History.
